Following the sponsorship of Candlelighters’ purchase of Christmas trees and decorations for their Family Support Centre, Concorde IT Group Managing Director, Neil Roberts, and Group Sales Director, Matthew Wood visited the centre.
Greeted by Brian Curran, Candlelighters Corporate Fundraiser, the team took a tour of The Square to see how donations from Concorde and others have been used. The Square was looking festive ready to be open for the first time over the Christmas period.
Neil was delighted to be able to surprise our hosts with a certificate; Candlelighters has been chosen as Concorde’s charity of the year for 2016!
Early in December, each Concorde employee was given the opportunity to vote from a selection of worthy causes with Candlelighters coming out on top. Donations raised from monthly dress-down days, bake sales, the charity golf day and any other activities throughout the year will all go to the charity.
Neil commented; “I was delighted to be able to surprise them with the good news. By visiting today it was an opportunity to see exactly what donations are being used for, it’s clear to see that our fundraising efforts over the next year are going to a great cause.”
