Merry Christmas from Concorde!
The Concorde staff all enjoyed our inaugural Festive Fun Day at Concorde House as last Friday took a distinctly Christmassy turn.
The Team Room, usually a room to relax, play pool and table football in, was transformed with Christmas music, decorations, and arranged for everyone to sit around and socialise.
Most importantly, there was an abundance of food to go along with it as everyone was encouraged to bypass the usual lunch room and instead gather for anything ranging from curry, to sausage rolls, to chocolate fudge cake!
The dress code was Christmas jumpers, and everyone enthusiastically complied, the best effort getting a prize!
Our winner, Bev, can be seen here taking Christmas jumper a step further as she dressed up as Elf on the Shelf - even carrying the shelf around with her all day!
The highlight of the day was the presentation of the Rising Star award (Congratulations, Tom!). The person voted for by the staff who has gone the extra mile and really made a difference in the past year.
Following an earlier visit to Candlelighters, the Trust was announced to the team as the Concorde Charity of the Year for 2016. Voted for by the staff, this was welcomed as thoughts began to turn to next year's fundraising efforts.
All in all, a great day had by all.
